As a Purchase College student or employee, you are eligible for a Westchester Library System card (public library card). Broadview residents are also eligible for a WLS card.

A WLS card allows you to borrow physical materials and access electronic resources including LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda.com), Overdrive (ebooks), kanopy (movies), Hoopla (ebooks, movies, music), audiobooks, and more!

Westchester residents

For Purchase College students and staff, as well as community members, who live in Westchester County (i.e. are permanent residents of Westchester), you will need to apply through your hometown branch library to obtain a card. Please contact your local branch directly.

Non-Westchester residents: Purchase students and staff

If you are not a permanent resident of Westchester County, but you are a Purchase College student or employee, you can apply online through Harrison Public Library or Purchase Free Library. Both libraries are in the Town of Harrison and partner with Purchase College Library. The online application takes only a few minutes, and you will generally have your card in 1-2 days.

Broadview Residents

For members of the Broadview Senior Living Community, the Purchase Free Library and Harrison Public Library are your home branches. You can apply online or in-person for a public library card at either branch.

I already have a WLS card. How do I find my WLS Library Card Number or PIN?

The WLS Library Card number is typically found below the barcode.

Your 4-digit PIN is set by you. If it's your first time logging into your WLS online account, use the last 4 digits of your phone number.

To reset a PIN or recover a lost library card number, please contact Harrison Public LibraryPurchase Free Library, or your local Westchester Public Library branch.

All questions about your WLS library card and WLS account should be directed to your Westchester Public Library branch, not to Purchase College Library.
