As a Purchase College student or employee, you are eligible for a Westchester Library System card! A WLS card allows you to borrow materials and access electronic resources (including Lynda.com) from any public library in Westchester County.

To obtain a card, you can go in person to either:

1. The Purchase Free Library (a short walk from campus! Out of the PAC W2 lot, cross over Loop onto Cottage Avenue, walk to the end of Cottage and turn left onto Purchase Street. The library is on left: 3093 Purchase Street, Purchase, NY 10577 Phone: 914-948-0550

OR

2.  The Harrison Public Library (near the Harrison Train Station. Take the Loop to Port Chester train station, then take MetroNorth New Haven Line south for 2 stops).  2 Bruce Avenue, Harrison, NY 10528 Phone: 914-835-0324

Harrison Public Library now allows you to apply for a library card online: http://www.harrisonpl.org/get-a-library-card

Both libraries are in the Town of Harrison and both serve our community. If you already live in Westchester, you should apply for a WLS card through your hometown library.  For Purchase College students and employees whose permanent address is NOT in Westchester, you can choose between the Purchase Free Library and the Harrison Public Library.

If you don't have a car and can't get off campus, email Rebecca Oling for an application form, and she can get you set up ASAP!

You can also use this form to submit a chat question. Try that if you're waiting too long.

This service is staffed by librarians from New York State, as well as other parts of the country. You will not necessarily be chatting with a librarian from Purchase College.
