Use our interlibrary loan service, known as ILLiad, which is free to all Purchase College students, faculty, and staff. If you've never used ILLiad before, click on the "First Time Users" link on the ILLiad page to can create an account.
Once you have an account, if you're in a library database and you find a record for an article you want to request, click on the "Find It at Purchase" button. Then, choose the link to: " Request this item through interlibrary loan."
Login to ILLiad when prompted. Review the article information that comes up in the request form and click on "submit." (See our FAQ on using "Find it" for more information.)
Or, if you find a book or other item listed in the main catalog as belonging to another library, click on the "Request It" button. Login to ILLiad when prompted. Review the information that comes up in the request form and click on "submit."
If you have questions, stop by the Reference Desk or stop by and/or contact the Interlibrary Loan office. The Interlibrary Loan office is located to the left of the Reference Desk on the first floor of the Library. Also feel free to call 914-251-6428 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
You can also use this form to submit a chat question. Try that if you're waiting too long.
This service is staffed by librarians from New York State, as well as other parts of the country. You will not necessarily be chatting with a librarian from Purchase College.
