The Library has partial access to the Sage Journals database. We have access to the full-text of articles in Sage published between 2014 and 2016. We have partial access, including indexing (i.e. just the article records without PDFs), from 1999 to the present.

Sage includes several open access journals and individual articles, which also may be available in full-text. However, most articles published in journals on Sage after 2016 are not part of our current subscription and will not be available as PDFs.

  • To access articles from Sage, click on "SAGE Premier 2014" under "View Online" in the Discovery Search record (see screenshot below).
    • Or, you can follow this link to go directly to SAGE Premier. (If you are off-campus, you'll be prompted to log in with your Purchase username and password).

  • To obtain the full-text of articles from Sage published outside the 2014 to 2016 date range, you can place an interlibrary loan request via Discovery Search:
    • Make sure you are signed into your Library Account in Discovery
    • Search for the article record in Discovery
    • Under "How to Get it," click "Place Interlibrary Loan Request"
    • In the Comments field, mention that this article is from Sage and you cannot access the PDF.
    • Verify that all fields are filled in and click "Send Request"

See the interlibrary loan webpage for additional guidelines on using ILL.
