How to Place an Article Request in Discovery Search
You can request articles that Purchase College Library does not subscribe to via interlibrary loan. See the Interlibrary Loan Guide for more information. To place a request in the Discovery Search, please follow the steps below:
1- Select Articles in the Discovery Search dropdown menu.

2- Once in Discovery Search, check to make sure you are signed into your My Library Account. (You will see your name on the top right-hand side if you are logged in.)


3- Locate the article you want to request in Discovery Search
4- To request the article, under How to get it, click on Place Interlibrary Loan Request. 
Chapter Requests are available when searching for physical books. Check the box next to "I only need a chapter." Please add page and chapter information below.

5- Check the citation information in the request form for accuracy and click on Send Request.

How to Retrieve a Requested Article
1- You will receive an email from pclibrary.notice@gmail.com, and the subject will be "Notification Item Letter." Click on the link that says "To download the resource: click here." You'll be taken to My Library Account in Discovery.

2- All Physical and Digital requests are located in your My Library Account.

3- Once signed into My Library Account, go to My Requests.

4- Download the PDF from My Library Account and save the article for future viewing.
The maximum number of views of the resource is: 10 (ten). We recommend downloading a PDF to your personal device right away.
