What is Kanopy?kanopy logo

Kanopy is an on-demand streaming platform that emphasizes independent movies and documentaries but also has feature-length, foreign, and educational films. It features films from the Criterion Collection, HBO, The Great Courses, BBC, and many more producers. 

 

How do I use Kanopy?

Accessing Kanopy

There are a couple ways to get to Kanopy:

  1. Find Kanopy under Databases by Title
  2. On the Library's homepage, find the "Guides" section (located below Databases by Title) and click the plus sign next to "Help Guides" to expand the box. Click "Streaming" to be taken to the Streaming Guide. There, you will find a link to Kanopy on the front page.

After clicking the Kanopy link, type in your Purchase login credentials on the Database User Authentication screen. You may then start browsing the collection!
