If you have a question about finding your way around the library, doing research, etc., you can text a librarian at (914) 873-1711 and get a reply from a real, live person within about 10 minutes.
But if you want an instant response to standard questions about the Library (such as hours, wifi password, policies, etc), you can get a quick response by using keywords.
Here's a complete list of keywords you can text us:
HOURS: for current Library hours of operation.
TEXT US HOURS: for the current text reference service hours (note, these do not always coincide with Library hours).
SR PROJECT: for instructions on submitting your senior project.
GUEST WIFI: for access to the library's guest wireless network.
WIFI: for access to the guest and Purchase wireless networks.
Keywords are a great way to get fast info about the Library. Just send us a text with a single keyword or key phrase (and nothing else) in the body of your message. You'll get an automated reply within seconds.
Remember, when you use a keyword, the reply is automatic-- a real librarian isn't responding. If you need more specific information, please text your entire question to (914) 873-1711, and a library staff member will text you back.
