If you have a question about finding your way around the library, doing research, etc., you can text a librarian at (914) 873-1711 and get a reply from a real, live person.
But if you want an instant response to standard questions about the library (such as hours, wifi password, policies, etc), you can get a quick response by using keywords.
Keywords are a great way to get fast info about the Library. Just send us a text with a single keyword or key phrase (and nothing else!) in the body of your message. You'll get an automated reply within seconds.
Remember, when you use a keyword, the reply is automatic-- a real librarian isn't responding. If you need more specific information, please text your entire question to (914) 873-1711 and a library staff member will text you back.
Here's a complete list of keywords you can text us:
HOURS: for current Library hours of operation.
TEXT US HOURS: for the current text reference service hours (note, these do not always coincide with Library hours).
SR PROJECT: for instructions on submitting your senior project.
GUEST WIFI: for access to the library's guest wireless network.
WIFI: for access to PurchaseWifi network for Purchase students, staff, faculty.

You can also use this form to submit a chat question. Try that if you're waiting too long.
This service is staffed by librarians from New York State, as well as other parts of the country. You will not necessarily be chatting with a librarian from Purchase College.
